SpaceX Launches:

On Thursday, SpaceX launched the SES ASTRA 1P mission to geosynchronous transfer orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. On Sunday, June 23 at 1:15 p.m. est. SpaceX's Falcon 9 launched 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from the same site, SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral. This mission marked the 11th flight for its first stage booster, which had previously launched Crew-6, mPOWER-B, USSF-124, and now eight Starlink missions.
Last night, SpaceX also launched 20 Starlink satellites from California, including 13 equipped with Direct to Cell capabilities. These satellites are designed to enable direct communication with mobile phones without the need for special apps or modifications, providing seamless access to data across diverse terrains such as land, lakes, and coastal waters. The concept of Direct to Cell and space-based cell towers in satellite form holds immense potential for revolutionizing global communications.

Retail technology and software provider CDK Global has initiated efforts to restore systems used by over 15,000 retail locations across North America following a cyberattack. The company announced on Sunday that the process is expected to take several days and is actively engaging with customers to provide alternative methods for conducting business. This follows a cyber incident that led CDK to shut down all its systems on Wednesday for investigation.
Last week, a dealer revealed that CDK informed him it might take several more days to get the systems operational. Major U.S. auto retailers Sonic Automotive and Penske Automotive reported disruptions to their operations on Friday, marking the third consecutive day of outages due to the cyberattack. Bloomberg News reported that a group of hackers claimed responsibility for the attack and demanded millions of dollars in ransom to stop the hack.
