Johnson & Johnson announced that it has agreed to pay $8.9 billion over the next 25 years to settle allegations that its baby powder and other talc-based products caused cancer.
The company had faced numerous lawsuits from customers who claimed that their talc products, allegedly contaminated with the carcinogenic substance asbestos, caused cancer.
Johnson & Johnson is a global company known for its wide range of products, such as Tylenol, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, Listerine, and Baby Powder, as well as prescription drugs and medical devices.

Syria:

On Tuesday, the US revealed it had eliminated a high-ranking ISIS member in Syria, while the Syrian government expressed concerns about a heightened conflict with Israel.
The US claimed the killed ISIS leader was involved in planning attacks in Europe. Concurrently, Syria warned of a significant escalation following allegations of four Israeli airstrikes within the past week.
