UFO Hearings:

In a recent Congressional hearing, a range of extraordinary claims concerning Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), previously referred to as UFOs, were discussed.
The most notable claims were made by whistleblower David Grusch, a former intelligence official, who insisted on the existence of classified governmental programs meant to recover crash-landed unidentified aircraft.
Grusch's allegations included possible murder to cover up such programs, the recovery of "non-human biologics" or alien bodies, and a suggestion that UAP pilots could be time-traveling inter-dimensional beings. The hearing also revisited the 2004 "Nimitz episode," involving a bizarre aircraft with seemingly impossible capabilities.
Additionally, other testimonies described peculiar UAP shapes like dark cubes within clear spheres and large red squares. The hearing concluded without concrete evidence but stirred up more interest in UAP research and reporting.

Fed Interest Rate Raise:

The U.S. Federal Reserve (FED) has decided to raise interest rates again by 25 basis points, following a brief pause. This latest hike is in line with the FED's efforts to combat inflation. Despite U.S. inflation numbers falling to 3%, which is lower than expected, the FED has resumed rate hikes.
The new total interest rate now ranges between 5.25% and 5.5%, marking the highest level since 2001 and the 11th increase in over a year. The FED began increasing interest rates in March 2022. The inflation rate has come down from its peak of 9.1%, but it remains above the 2% target.

TikTok Enters Text-Based Social Media:

TikTok has added text-based posts to its content options, entering the text-based social network arena. The feature allows users to create posts with customized text, music, and stickers, similar to Instagram stories. This move comes as platforms like Threads by Meta and Bluesky aim to replicate the text-focused experience provided by Twitter (X).
Interestingly, TikTok's move to include text-based features could alter the dynamics, especially considering its popularity among the younger demographic compared to Instagram and Twitter.
Creating a text post on TikTok involves going to the Text tab on the Camera page and customizing the post. Previously, users could only add text to photos or videos. The expanded feature formalizes the creation of text content, which the company claims will help creators express themselves better.
