ChatGPT Enterprise:
- OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT Enterprise, a business version of its AI chatbot. Developed in less than a year with input from over 20 companies, it offers unlimited access to GPT-4, double speed performance, and API credits.
- However, the pricing, dependent on company size and usage, will remain confidential. The beta testing included companies like Block, Canva, and The Estée Lauder Companies. Additionally, Microsoft increased its OpenAI investment by $10 billion, the highest AI investment of the year.
- OpenAI also closed a $300 million share sale at a valuation of $27-$29 billion, attracting investments from firms like Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. Two months after its launch, ChatGPT surpassed 100 million monthly active users, becoming the fastest-growing consumer application in history.
Tesla Diner and Theater:
- Tesla has received approval to build its own diner and drive-in theater in Los Angeles. This development follows a post by Elon Musk in 2021 announcing a new Supercharger station in Santa Monica with a 50's diner and movie clips.
- Documents viewed by Teslarati confirm the approval from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety for a "Diner and Drive-In Movie Supercharger" in West Hollywood. Located at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard, the site will have 32 Supercharger stalls, multiple restaurant options, rooftop seating, and two movie screens.
- However, due to the quick charging time of up to 200 miles in 15 minutes, Tesla owners may not be able to watch an entire film. The project application was submitted in November 2022 and received approval on July 18, with the initial grading inspection approved on August 9. A conceptual image of the Tesla Diner was presented during the company's Investor Day in March. The project's completion date is still unknown.
